Availability

Monday, August 29th, 2011

We already have limited availability for some of the upcoming Palm Springs Events and Holidays. The Hacienda is almost fully booked for this year’s Palm Springs Gay Pride Festival. However, always keep in mind we maintain an active ‘Priority’ Wait List – let us know if you would like to be added to our ‘Priority’ Wait List for any time periods during which we may be booked.
Please consider we do have more availability mid-week for pre or post holiday stays. If your travel plans are flexible, there also is a greater choice of accommodations mid-week for an extended stay. A very nice treat indeed.

Total Luxury & Relaxation

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this property! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Warm Sands and close to the main strip. The grounds are impeccable and the rooms leave nothing to be desired; the staff at this place have truly thought of everything! Speaking of the staff, they are the nicest and most accommodating people. Steve especially was great and made our stay very enjoyable by offering cold towelettes by the pool, serving lunch poolside, and being social and making great recommendations.

The Hacienda is very low-key, which makes it a great get-away. There were a good mix of guys there when we stayed. We will definitely be back…hopefully soon!

Thank you Steve for all the hospitality!!

Class, comfort, luxury and relaxation all rolled into one.

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

Let me first say that we found The Hacienda by accident back in May 2011 after we ran screaming from another property that could only be described as the gay Bates Motel.

This was our second visit and it was just as good if not better than our first visit. I’m trying to be objective and give at least one constructive criticism, but I honestly can’t think of one, so I’ll just tell you why we are so in love with The Hacienda.

First of all, the staff…Jason, Tom, Paul, Cliff, Luis (there’s another really sweet guy there and I can’t remember his name..sorry) are the best, most genuine, most helpful group guys ever. They are professional without being stuffy or impersonal and friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing. I could go on, but you get the idea. Also, Jim & Maurice the owners are delightful and usually stop by from time to time to say hello and always remember your name as do the rest of the staff.

Secondly, the property is beautiful, lush and well maintained. The pools are sparkling clean, as is the jacuzzi. The Hacienda is a clothing optional property, but not in a way that invites a “certain” type of activity…and you know what I mean. It’s very comfortable and some people will be in swim trunks around the pool and some will not. It’s all very relaxed and almost feels like being at a spa. The rooms are impeccably clean. Our rooms were well appointed with just about everything you could need from flatware to blender. The bathrooms are beautiful complete with a 2-man shower with so many shower heads it’s like being in a car wash…but in a good way. High-end toiletries and so many towels you couldn’t possibly use them all, well ok, you can and probably will.

Last, included in the price of you room is daily continental type breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, pastries, cereals, bagels, fruit, etc. Lunch is also included, which I love…who wants to deal with lunch when you’re relaxing poolside when you can have it brought to you. A decent sized lunch menu is in your room which includes yummy salads, wraps and sandwiches. AND this isn’t some weird pre-made lunch, these are fresh made to order lunches You give your order to the office by 1030am and by 130pm your lunch is brought to you poolside or in your room on lovely white plates. You never need to leave The Hacienda until the sun goes down unless you want to.

Bottom line, if you want to come enjoy the desert with some luxury and some relaxation you couldn’t find a better place. They majority of the guests tend to be in the 30-55 age range.

Merveilleux!

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Simple yet Elegant and Relaxing

Monday, August 15th, 2011

We were first time visitors and after a somewhat disappointing stay at a gay resort in Key West years ago we thought we would split our visit between a couple of resorts in Palm Springs. Thinking that we would minimize our stay at any one place if it wasn’t our cup of tea. The best intentions, yet we clearly were floored with the Hacienda’s service, rooms, location and personnel.
Service was prompt, professional and genuinely friendly. We were greeted at the gate and confirmed our reservations in the office and then Tom led us to our Grand Deluxe Suite in the rear of the property (#10). Tom showed us around our suite (and it was large),gas fireplace, nice four person dining table, large kitchen complete with two refrigerators, microwave, gas stove, granite counters, Keurig coffee machine and completely stocked with china, flatware and cookware. The bathroom was Mantastic, yes Mantastic! Two shower heads, four body sprays, great tile and heavy glass frame-less door, i was in pig heaven. The bedroom was spacious, clean and very comfortable, in-room safe, two closets, Flat screen TV and DVD player/Cable TV and a sliding door to a large private patio. The living room was also quite large with cabinets full of interesting books, large fluffy coach and comfy arm chair and another flat panel TV with DVD/cable. Tastefully decorated and clean throughout.
Being at the back of the property with only four other suites it was like having a private pool and court yard. The pool was very clean and warm! Perfect for swimming at night under the stars. The music in the court yard was soft and relaxing great for reading a book or watching the doves and humming birds. We met the other guest (mostly couples) and had a great time, swimming, relaxing, sharing lunches and even hitting the town at night together. We seemed to increase our ability to connect with Palm Springs by reliving each others experiences the night before while having breakfast together poolside each morning.
The resort location is great being only 5 or 6 blocks away from nightlife, shopping and top local restaurants. We rented a car and would recommend it to others during the Hot season, plus it’s makes shopping easier.
If your looking for a LOW KEY relaxing time to decompress from work, this is the place. Each morning we had breakfast poolside. The self serve breakfast consisting of coffee, juice, milk, English muffins, bagels, sweet rolls, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt was always more then enough to start the day off. Lunch is also included and the menu selection is great, plus it was fresh and served poolside or placed in the refrigerator in your room if you were out.
Unfortunately as I mentioned earlier we booked another resort to finish out our stay in PS. It was a grave mistake and we knew as soon as we arrived at the other location the atmosphere, services and cleanliness were not the same. Beware cancellation is not possible without forfeiting your room fees, we felt so strongly about the Hacienda we paid out the rest of our visit and left to go back to the Hacienda after only one night at the other resort.
We were thankful they had a room available (#3), although smaller than the Grand Deluxe Suite it was the same service and style and we felt instantly at home again. Because it was on the front side of the property, it felt new yet comfortable like a favorite old shirt. We made more new friends and had a great time to finish out our vacation. In total we spent 7 days and 6 nights at the Hacienda and loved every minute!
All the people we met and the staff were super and really made the stay an experience to be remembered. We definitely made some new friends and have already booked our next stay for a “reunion”.
A big KUDOS to Steve, Tom and the rest of the staff for taking such great care of us! Jim and Maurice have definitely found the right location, staff and it beckons you back every time you think of leaving.
We will be back December 28th see you then!

Room Tip: For privacy rooms 6-10 are great, all face the pool! For mingling, making new friends, seeing the Mountains take Rms 1-4 also a pool view

Perfect Paradise in Palm Springs

Saturday, August 13th, 2011

If you are looking to pamper yourself in an oasis of calm and relaxation in the desert, look no further. The staff at the Hacienda go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. I have been a loyal customer for the past 10 years.

Nevertheless, they do not rest on their laurels and continue to make improvements every year. For example, they expanded their lunch menu offerings of sandwiches, wraps and salads, all of which continue to be included in your stay and served poolside. Each room now has a Keurig coffee maker and L’Occitane bath and skincare products.
